Five kilometers from the airport — and the asphalt ends.

“Mongolia is one of the last truly empty countries on the planet. Three times larger than France, but there are fewer people here than in Moscow alone. Outside the capital there are mountains, steppe, dunes and silence.”

“We are traveling through this country in the most comfortable expedition motorhome from existing ones. Mercedes-Benz Arocs 6x6, which we designed and built it ourselves. The captain is driving the car. The chef cooks on board. The second escort vehicle takes care of everything else.”

“From you - a company of one to four people. Everything else is up to us.”

OUR DIFFERENCE chapter · built by us  · since 1998

The only operator of luxury expeditions who himself builds his own cars.

“Most tour operators rent equipment. We design it. The same engineers who built more 500 expedition motorhomes Since 1998, we have been working on cars for our tours for clients in nine countries - from Arctic explorers to private travelers.

When something needs to work in the middle of the Gobi Desert, we don't need to call anyone. We built it. We know this."

Our clients travel
in Mongolia not the first year.

Private clients of VolgaTrade have been traveling through the Gobi, Baikal and the Kazakh steppes on our motorhomes for more than ten years. Now we offer the same vehicles, the same quality and a full escort crew as a ready-made expedition format.

We are used to the fact that an “expedition” means a tent, a sleeping bag and discomfort. Here we understand: an expedition can be as comfortable as an apartment in the city center, but with a view that no amount of money can buy.”

Why Mongolia chapter · 02 / 09 density < 2 people/km² 47°55′N  106°55′E

Why
Mongolia.

/ 01

Empty.

Less than two people per square kilometer. Lowest population density among sovereign states in the world.

/ 02

Available.

Direct flights to Ulaanbaatar from Moscow and Irkutsk. From Asian hubs - Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing - every day. The new international terminal will be operational from 2021.

/ 03

Not mastered.

There is no mass tourism infrastructure. There are no tour buses, chain hotels or fenced viewing platforms. Almost everywhere you go, you will be the only guests.

/ 04

All seasons.

We are open all year round. Summer is the green steppe and the heat of the Gobi. Winter means frozen lakes, white deserts and Tsagan Sar, the nomadic New Year.

07 — Frequently asked questions

What is it usually about?
ask.

/ 01 “How safe is it?”
Mongolia is one of the safest countries in Asia. Each expedition includes a full medical kit, satellite communications (Starlink + Iridium) and insurance with evacuation for each guest. The captains were trained in field medicine.
/ 02 “What languages do the crew speak?”
English on every expedition. Russian, Mongolian, Chinese - upon request, with prior approval.
/ 03 “How is the food?”
The chef cooks on board. We adapt the menu to any requirements - vegetarianism, allergies, kosher, halal. Tell us in your brief, we’ll plan it.
/ 04 “How physically difficult?”
Not hard. The machine does the main work. You go where you want to go, mount your horse if you want. Most of our guests are over forty and choose comfort.
/ 05 “Is it possible with children?”
Yes. We had families. The Arocs sleeps four people comfortably.
/ 06 “What should I take with me?”
Almost nothing. We provide bed linen, towels, robes, slippers, all cosmetics and most outdoor equipment. Detailed list - after booking.
/ 07 “How far in advance should I book?”
High season (June-September) - 3-6 months. Winter special expeditions and Tsagan Sar - in 6-12 months.
/ 08 “How does the booking work?”
You leave a request. We call each other for 30 minutes to understand the problem. We will send you an individual offer within 5 days. A 30% deposit secures the dates, the balance is 60 days before departure.
